Drew Woods

Drew is a Director in the Melbourne office of Clamenz Evans Ellis after beginning his legal career as a solicitor in Adelaide. Between 2006 and 2009 he was the managing partner of a boutique commercial firm practicing in the areas of residential and commercial property development, banking and finance, commercial litigation and insolvency. In 2010, Drew joined Evans Ellis Lawyers in Melbourne as a Consultant and became a Director of the firm in September 2011. Drew is admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of South Australia and Victoria as well as the High Court of Australia.
Drew’s current areas of practice include all commercial related matters, banking and finance, securities and compliance, commercial litigation and insolvency. Drew’s clients include medium to large private corporations, liquidators, accounting firms and some large lending institutions including some of the largest banks in South-East Asia.
One of Drew’s strengths is the attention to his client’s needs and his focus on advice, results and communication. His ability to provide clear and concise advice to his clients as well as a practical and creative approach to legal problem solving is a real asset to Clamenz Evans Ellis. Drew prides himself on his ability to relate to and understand his client’s needs and focus on achieving effective results whether it be in a transactional or litigious matter.
Drew has an active lifestyle away from the office and enjoys cycling, swimming, cricket and the occasional basketball game. He is a member of the Essendon Football Club and religiously follows the Australian Cricket team, even through the bad times.
